When it comes
to the manufacture and supply of stainless
steel strips, Poongsan's existing long
metal rolling technology - combined
with new technology - has particularly
benefited its operations by producing
thin-gauge, narrow-width and high-elasticity
strips. As always, the Company seeks
to improve the performance of component
parts by fulfilling each specification
related to pressing, drawing, bending
and welding.
Poongsan's efforts to strictly observe
tolerance in measurement and flatness
are assisted by a series of high-tech
devices. Precision slitters, a Tension
Leveler (T/L), a Tension Annealing Furnace
(T/A) and computer control
systems such as Automatic Gauge Controls
(AGCs) and AFCs all ensure superior
processing of surfaces for various industrial
purposes.

Poongsan's stainless steel strips for spring
products, in particular, are widely used in
lightweight, high-strength components which
require strong spring capability for switches,
relays and CRTs, thanks to the high-degree
rolling and heat-treatment technologies which
yield a range of desired properties and consistent
quality.
Meanwhile,
Poongsan manufactures thin-gauge, narrow-width
stainless steel strips up to 0.05mm thickness
and 6mm width according to standard specifications
of KS, JIS, AISI and more. The Company is
also able to fulfill custom orders according
to individual requirements without sacrificing
reliability.
